AS A FRESHMAN...Burgess posted a standout rookie season, shooting in the 80's throughout the 2011 campaign...was Emmanuel's low-scorer in two matches and was among the top-four point scorers in all seven matches...carded his season-low of 82 on September 20th in a dual-match vs. Newbury College at William J. Devine Course...carded an 89 and an 83 on consecutive days at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship at Gorham Country Club on October 8th and 9th...was named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll on September 26, 2011...received the team's Unsung Hero Award at the 2012 Athletic Awards Night.

BEFORE EMMANUEL... Burgess was a four-year member of the Thayer Academy golf team ... Helped lead the squad to an Independent School League regular season championship, posting a 22-1-1 record before placing second in the ISL tournament ...
